Condolence: To the Family of Marion Ward:

We express our sincere sympathy in the loss of your loved one. Marion was a friendly lady and we always felt welcome to stop into her store for a visit. Fond Memories of shopping for my daughters and son.
A lot of history gone. We will miss seeing her on our morning walks.
It is a milestone to realize she was in business for more than 50 years!
Rest in Peace Marion.
Sincerely,
Eddie and Rosita MacDonald

Condolence: I am so sadden to see this post tonight on facebook, Marion was a delight to see when she came into the store to buy tickets. She always said I won again, but always new that she would give it all back to me. She knows along with a few others the true meaning of survival, I only hope I could live my life as long and strong as she was. God Bless you and your family Shauna, she will be forever missed.

Condolence: Such sad news. I enjoyed our weekly visits at the store and our friendly competition with scratch tickets. She always had a story to tell and always showed genuine interest in what was "the news" in my life. She gave great advice!
A few years ago the BIA held a fashion show to which Marion allowed my daughter to wear/showcase some of her children's wear. My daughter ended up wanting to keep a couple of outfits. I had payed Marion for the outfits. Little did I know that I had underplayed her by $1.26. Smart as a whip, the next week upon our visit she pulled out her "credit pad" and informed me of what I still owed her.....followed by the comment that I can pay in instalments should I need to. I will miss her dry humour and her bright eyed smile.
My sincerest condolences to the family.

Condolence: Sad news indeed but what great memories she left us. Any time I would stop by the store she always had a story to tell, usually a remembrance of my mother. An icon of the community she will be sorely missed. My sincere condolences to the Ward family.
