Obituary for Janice Lavinia Reynolds (Steele)

REYNOLDS, JANICE L.

On Tuesday, January 5th, 2016 at Brockville General Hospital Garden Street Site, Janice Reynolds of Prescott/Johnstown peacefully closed her eyes and passed away. She had won her battle with cancer. Even though cancer destroyed her body, it never defeated, or even dulled her spirit of life; to the end she lived life. Janice is survived by her husband of 42 years, the Rev. John Reynolds, and sons Scott of Kitchener and David of Richmond, BC. Janice was predeceased by her parents Byron R. Steele and Ivy M. Steele.
Janice was active in the church from an early age, singing in Church Choirs, leading Sunday School and serving in ministry with her husband in two provinces and eight Pastoral Charges. In her own mission, Janice, recently volunteered at CPHC, South Grenville Food Bank, House of Lazarus, and the United Church Women of Seaway Valley Presbytery until her illness limited her activities.

A Celebration of Janice's life will take place at St. Paul's United Church 290 Dibble St. West Prescott on Saturday January 9th, 2016 at 11 AM. Interment at a later date. Send flowers, light a memorial candle, place a donation to Ottawa Heart Institute University of Ottawa or Maurice Grimes Residence Ottawa Hospital or share a special memory of Janice at www.mackayfuneralhome.com
