I remember her as a sweet and funny lady with a camera in her hand:) My Dad said he used to chat with her on the ferry from Prescott to Ogdensburg when he was going to trade school. Condolence: My sincere condolences to all of Shirley's family. Shirley introduced me to Sloppy Joes (the go to meal when I looked after the "kids") Fed all of us on those evenings when she went to meetings. The last time I actually spoke with her I was helping get some milk down off the shelf at Walmart and she was so happy that I recognized her and took the time to catch up. Needless to say that day I returned home (with no milk for my family)..the main thing I went for. She had a great laugh about that when my Mom told her. The Shirley I knew was so sweet, but a strong Mom and I am hoping the many fine memories of a very involved lady in everyones life will bring smiles to your faces after the grief of losing her . She will be missed by so many.

Your Mom was a very special person, and the community will not be the same without her. I enjoyed my friendship with all of you as we grew up in Prescott, and Shirley was certainly very good to all of us who frequented the Coligan residence and were fed in Shirley's kitchen.
