Condolence: Our heartfelt condolences to Al’s family including little Mickey. I have known Al for the past three years. We met at the Mayfield Retirement Residence. One day as I was walking by with my little Chihuahua named Ginger, Mickey came to the sidewalk to meet us and then Al & I introduced ourselves. Ginger & I visited a few times per week. While Mickey & Ginger spent time together, Al & I always had great conversations. He was always thankful for our visits. Al was a beautiful person with a kind heart. Mickey was the love of his life and it showed. They were the best of friends. I would like to share a quote: “When someone says, “it’s just a dog,” remind them that they grieve as well when their loved one passes away. They feel pain, happiness, boredom, loneliness, fear, and excitement. They are not “just dogs” – they are living creatures with wants, needs, and feelings just like humans.” We will truly miss our visits with our friends, Al & Mickey.
